Interesting demands in the Turkish Grand National Assembly: "Generation Z should retire early"

Citizens can submit their requests and complaints to Parliament. Approximately 23,500 applications were submitted to the Parliamentary Petitions Committee between May 15, 2023, the start of the 28th Legislative Session, and September 12, 2025.

Another person who applied to the Commission requested that a legal regulation be made to ensure that people who deliberately burn forests be stripped of their Turkish citizenship, that they are not allowed to benefit from any public service other than healthcare until their death, and that their right to own property be denied.

A request for a legal regulation regarding the ban on TV series was also among the applications.

Drawing attention to the periods when air temperatures are above seasonal norms, especially in the summer months, a citizen requested a regulation allowing male public sector personnel to wear knee-length shorts during working hours. Another citizen requested that compulsory military service be applied to women as well. MANY REQUESTS RANGING FROM CARD DEBTS TO WORKING CONDITIONS Some of the interesting or noteworthy demands made to the Petition Commission are as follows: -A legal regulation stipulating that criminals must compensate for this damage, in accordance with their faults confirmed by a court decision, since they indirectly cause damage to the state through healthcare and other expenses. -The state should cover the debts of citizens who cannot pay their credit card debts. -Reserving at least 40 percent of the number of deputies for women. -The transfer of governorate and district governorships to mayors or the election of these positions by the public in order to strengthen democratic representation. -The opening of legal animal cemeteries affiliated with municipalities. -Entertainment venues, cafes, and places that sell alcohol should be closed on Fridays. -Legal regulations should be made regarding the working conditions of chain store employees.
